Sirinat National Park

The protected coastline covering Mai Khao, Nai Yang and Nai Thon.

Sirinat National Park covers a stretch of protected coastline in Phuket's north-west, taking in Mai Khao, Nai Yang and Nai Thon beaches along with inland forest and wetland areas.

What's protected here

Beyond the beaches themselves, the park covers coastal forest, a mangrove area, and — at Mai Khao specifically — a sea turtle nesting site monitored during nesting season.

Visiting the park

Unlike a fenced attraction, much of Sirinat is simply the undeveloped coastline itself — visitors experience it primarily by spending time at Mai Khao, Nai Yang or Nai Thon beaches rather than through a formal ticketed entrance. See our Mai Khao & Nai Yang guide for what to expect from those beaches specifically.

Why it matters for visitors

The park status is part of why this stretch of coast has stayed far less developed than the west coast's main tourist beaches — a genuinely different, quieter experience within a short drive of the airport.
