TM30 hotel registration
Hotels and licensed accommodation are required to report foreign guests to Thai immigration — this happens automatically at check-in as part of standard hotel procedure and requires no extra action from you.
If you're staying in a private rental
Private condo or villa rentals technically carry the same reporting requirement, placed on the property owner rather than automatically handled the way a hotel handles it — worth confirming with a private landlord that this is being taken care of, particularly for longer stays.
Your entry stamp and departure card
Keep your passport entry stamp and any departure card intact for your full stay — these are occasionally checked and are needed to confirm your permitted length of stay.
